Mrs. King dedicated her life to the pursuit of equality and through her life’s work, generations of African Americans have been able to realize the freedom of America. Mrs. King was a devoted wife and mother who worked tirelessly to spearhead the efforts to continue to build upon the advances in the civil rights movements after her husband’s assassination. The legacy of Mrs. King and others in the civil rights movement is an inspiration and foundation upon which our organization was built and we are forever grateful for their contributions. We will continue to work to ensure that her legacy of service will live on forever,” said Alvin Williams, BAMPAC President and CEO.
